John started his musical career playing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Later on he did a tour with the O’Jays and ended up touring with them. He eventually moved to Miami and attended the University of Miami. While in school he performed with many groups including Tony Bennett, Dianne Carroll, Bob Hope, and Ben E. King. John is a Downbeat Magazine Award winner and currently is the Trumpet player for the world famous Coral Reefers Band with Jimmy Buffett.
