Matthew Joy is an active performer, composer, and educator. He has recorded and performed for decades with various groups in Boston, New York, Nashville, and South Florida, as well as touring Canada, the UK, and Europe. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Arts degree with specialization in Jazz Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a professor of music at Florida Atlantic University teaching guitar, commercial music, and jazz guitar ensembles. He has over 20 years of experience teaching guitar, theory, and composition to students of all levels, ages, and various playing styles.
